NetEase’s popular hero-shooter, Marvel Rivals, is set to receive its first major content update, introducing the iconic Fantastic Four to its ever-expanding roster of playable characters.
A promotional poster released by the company showcases Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing, along with their robotic companion H.E.R.B.I.E. The poster also hints at a potential new map based on the Fantastic Four’s headquarters, the Baxter Building, with the team arriving in their signature vehicle, the Fantasticar.
While it remains unclear whether H.E.R.B.I.E. will be a playable character or a cosmetic element, the addition of the Fantastic Four is sure to excite fans of the Marvel universe.
A trailer showcasing the Fantastic Four in action is scheduled for release on January 6th. The official release date for this content update has not yet been announced, but it is expected to coincide with the launch of Marvel Rivals’ Season 1 in early January.
Season 1 promises a significant content drop, expanding upon the game’s current Season 0 offerings. The addition of the Fantastic Four and a potential new map suggest that players can expect a substantial update that will further enhance the Marvel Rivals experience.
