Honor of Kings has unveiled a new in-game chapter, “Limbo,” alongside its Original Skin Series, celebrating cultural storytelling from around the world. The update, available from October 30, introduces new skins and events inspired by folklore and spiritual traditions from Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, expanding the game’s creative world with a narrative rooted in myth and mysticism.
In the Limbo storyline, players enter a realm rebuilt after the explosion of the Nucleus — the force that once controlled it. The story follows three heroes from rival factions as they navigate moral choices that determine both their own destinies and those of their people. Throughout this limited-time event, running until November 13, players can unlock new original skins for Donghuang (the Noble), Milady (the Witch), and Biron (the Undead), along with a variety of event-exclusive rewards.
The update features multiple in-game activities. From October 30 to November 27, players can participate in the “Explore the Wastes” event, completing missions to earn Lucky Draw Vouchers or purchasing them directly for the chance to flip tiles and win rewards. Guaranteed prizes include Donghuang’s Doomdealer skin at 10 flips, and selection boxes for Biron and Milady’s new skins — Deathmerc and Swampseer — at 20 and 30 flips. Additional draws grant players access to up to 12 free flips through mission completion.
A Limbo Background Pack Draw runs from November 5 to December 4, offering players a way to unlock themed environments. Meanwhile, the “Limbo Card Collection” event, taking place between November 6 and 27, allows players to collect, trade, or disenchant cards to complete milestones and earn rewards, including the exclusive Limbo Flowborn+ Golden Post skin.
Complementing these events is the Dia de los Muertos-inspired skin set, available through direct purchase. Players can acquire the Angela – Ferrier of Souls skin between November 1 and 30, with early purchase discounts and token cashback opportunities throughout the month. Those who obtain the skin early can also purchase the Sun Ce – Driver of Souls skin at a reduced price.
