Cyber Sports League recently held their Ramadan DOTA 2 Tournament over the 1st and 2nd of July inviting teams from all over the MENA region to join in on a chance to win some money, prizes and above all, fame. The Double Elimination, 5v5 Captain’s Mode Tournament, which began in the late afternoon, saw eight teams advance through the brackets in a grueling yet tantalizing display of comebacks, team wipes and denials.
The first match between Bendover and Extremers culminated with Bendover winning and advancing through to the next stage of the tournament after reaping 38 kills in 13 minutes, accompanied by Bouncy Bears, KnownFor and previous tournament winners E-Lab. Meanwhile, Extremers, Disconnects, The Bomb Squad and SGH_HOA were bumped to the loser’s bracket.

The second day of the tournament saw the fight for third take place between Bouncy Bears and KnownFor, ending with a resound victory for KnownFor. The Grand Finale, as expected was on a completely different level, both in terms of excitement and awe. Fighting it out would be E-Lab, the previous winners of CSL DOTA 2 competitions and Bendover, who have been marked as runner ups for the two competitions when both teams clashed in the finals. As a result, Bendover worked extremely hard to claim the title of DOTA 2 champions for themselves, having been denied it by E-Lab on two separate coutns. However, the first match went towards previous champions E-Lab, who coolly slaughtered their way to victory. Unfortunately for them, Bendover, recovered with an epic comeback, securing the second game, forcing a third game to decide the grand champion.

Alas for E-Lab, the crown must pass on as Bendover thrilled the audience with a stunning performance, winning the final game and winning the title of Dota 2 champions. With that title went 5 Thermaltake Dracco headsets and AED 1000 in prize money. E-Lab also walked away with 5 headsets but a smaller money pool. Knownfor, who secured third place were awarded with 5 Tt Esports VENTUS Gaming mouses.
