As a love letter to the good days of gaming (not that these days are bad, per se, but one can debate), Coleco is ready to take the retro gaming world by storm as early as 2016, with the debut of their new system the Coleco Chameleon, in partnership with Retro Videogame Systems. According to Coleco, it will play 8bit, 16bit, and 32bit games.
Do you guys think this will make a dent in a world obsessed with 1080p 60fps gaming? Who knows — if indie games on the PS4 and XOne are any indication, there’s definitely a market for retro games. Whether people will buy a dedicated platform for that, though, is a different story.
