Activision announced that the Call of Duty World League is coming to the Middle East for a new regional eSports tournament where pros and amateurs alike can compete in Call of Duty! In partnership with Sony PlayStation, Activision and Red Entertainment, PLG present the official Middle East Call of Duty World League Tournament. Teams of 4 can compete in online and live events around the region, that will culminate with 8 teams advancing to the CWL Middle East Finals held at the PLG Grand Slam on Yas Island, UAE, for a prize pool of $10’000. The new tournament marks an unprecedented commitment by Call of Duty to directly support the growing local communities of eSports fans.
The CWL Championships will be played on Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and will be comprised of a regional online qualifier. Qualifiers in Egypt, KSA and Jordan which will culminate with a live final in the UAE. Residents in Egypt / Kuwait / Kingdom of Saudi Arabia / Qatar / Lebanon / Oman / UAE / Jordan / Bahrain can take part in their regional online and live qualifiers of the CWL Championships, as long as basic terms are fulfilled. The competition will run on PlayStation 4 as teams of four face off against each other. All players must be 18 when registering.
