Bethesda Release Prey and Quake Champions Trailers!

GEEK DESK
GEEK DESK
Aug 6

So, remember when Prey got announced years back with a really amazing cinematic trailer and people went ballistic. Then it went to development hell, and was never heard of from again but then it popped up again at E3 2016, and everyone cheered and hollered! That was until the trailer started playing and people realised it wasn’t the Prey they knew and loved, rather it was a Prey that had the same title but not the same soul; it was a survival-shooter thingamajig. Now, it wasn’t that the crowd was displeased (well, maybe not completely) but there was some confusion as to what was this thing  that masqueraded itself under the pretence of being Prey.

Well, now we got some gameplay footage that should shine a light on what to expect from the game.

So, we definitely know there’s a lot to do with survival as these black-smokey beings try to hunt you down. But it’s not pure survival because it seems like you can carry weapons. Not much is known about the story aside from what is said in the trailer about ensuring these smokey beings don’t escape.

And then there was the  gameplay trailer for Quake champions that seems to be sticking very much to its root of fast-paced run-and-gun mechanics while still introducing the new feature of class-based characters

There is no official release date for Quake champions but Prey is set to release in  2017.
