Battlefield Studios has released the official trailer for Battlefield 6 Season 1, setting the stage for a series of major content drops starting October 28. The trailer outlines a three-phase rollout that will extend through the end of the year, each introducing new maps, modes, and limited-time events designed to expand the game’s live-service framework.
The first phase, Rogue Ops, launches next week and brings a new large-scale map called Blackwell Fields, designed for chaotic, vehicle-heavy combat. It also introduces Strikepoint, a 4v4 mode emphasizing tactical coordination and close-quarters skirmishes — a smaller-scale contrast to the franchise’s signature all-out warfare.

Following that, California Resistance arrives on November 18, featuring the Eastwood map set in suburban Southern California. The update also adds a new mode called Sabotage, which tasks players with destroying as many key sites as possible before the round timer expires. The final Season 1 phase, Winter Offensive, lands on December 9. As the name suggests, it brings a holiday-themed overhaul to the Empire State map, alongside additional limited-time weapons and cosmetics tied to the winter season.
Battlefield Studios says future seasonal content will be released regularly, with new maps, weapons, and modes rolled out across all platforms. Importantly, the studio reaffirmed that all gameplay-impacting features — including new modes and weapons — will be free or earnable through gameplay progression, continuing its stated commitment to fair access across the player base.

Battlefield 6 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store. The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, while the $99.99 Phantom Edition includes the base game plus a “Phantom Squad” Soldier Skin pack, two weapon bundles, a vehicle skin, and a combat knife skin. It also comes with a Season 1 token for Battlefield Pro, offering players early access to the Battle Pass, 25 tier skips, exclusive cosmetics, and XP bonuses.
Season 1 marks the first major live update for Battlefield 6 since its launch and will serve as a test for how effectively the game’s new content model can sustain long-term engagement — a challenge that has defined modern multiplayer shooters across the industry.
