Arc Raiders roadmap adds new map, enemies, and battle pass before year’s end

Embark Studios isn’t wasting any time celebrating Arc Raiders’ strong debut. Barely a day after launch, the developer has dropped a detailed post-launch roadmap outlining what players can expect through the end of 2025—and it’s a lot.

The first wave of updates, titled North Line, arrives in November. It introduces a brand-new map called Stella Montis, alongside two new Arc enemies: the Matriarch and the Shredder. While Embark hasn’t released visual details yet, the names suggest the sort of massive mechanical threats the game has already become known for. The update will also add new quests, gameplay items, and a community event that ties into the month’s theme.

December brings the Cold Snap update, adding a new environmental effect—snowfall—to shake up gameplay conditions across the map. Cold Snap will also include another event called Flickering Flames, fresh quests, and the opening of the game’s first Expedition “departure window.” For players, that essentially means a soft reset or “server wipe” to mark the end of the season and the start of a new progression cycle.

One of the biggest additions in December will be the introduction of the Raider Deck, Arc Raiders’ version of a battle pass. The launch pass was free, but Embark previously confirmed that future seasons would mix free and paid tracks. Cold Snap’s Raider Deck will likely serve as the first real test of how that model fits into the game’s progression loop.

Embark says these updates are just the start of a broader live-service cadence that includes constant tuning and community-driven refinements. The studio is already working on bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, new cosmetics, additional map conditions, and expanded trials and feats.

With Arc Raiders off to a strong start—high player counts and positive early Steam reviews—the roadmap suggests Embark is focused on keeping momentum going rather than waiting for a mid-season lull. “Keep your eyes on the horizon,” the developers wrote in their announcement. “This is only the beginning of what is in store for Arc Raiders.”
