For us gamers, completing a game is an intimate, personal achievement — and for completionists, it is even more so when you get all 100% collectibles. And when you’re a working gamer — like myself — then making the time to play (and finish) a game is akin to defeating Ruby Weapon in FFVII.
So it’s no surprise that Reddit user Multitasker gains my absolute and utter respect in his endeavour to complete every game on Steam. And if you believe he is a freeloader with all the time in the world, he isn’t; he’s a working, married man and a father.
My logical stopping point is usually when the credits roll over the screen, unless there is an expansion/DLC and the game continues afterwards. That means I can rush to the end if the game is crap or I can have a blast like in the Bethesda RPGs and discover everything before I go end the game.
I can’t blame him for not being a completionist in every game; there are already more games to play than there is time in someone’s life. Not to mention the cost of all the games — at the moment, Steam estimates $15’000 spent.
Should you wish to follow him, you can do so on his Reddit and YouTube page.
Godspeed my friend, and good luck. I am personally rooting for you.
