After all the hype, the Nothing Phone (2a) is finally official, and it’s shaking up the budget smartphone game. Pre-orders open today, with pricing starting at a surprisingly affordable price.

Phone (2a) is available in Black and Milk colors, with two models to choose from: 8GB/128GB for AED 1,199, and 12GB/256GB for AED 1,399 in the UAE.

The 8GB/128GB model has an exclusive Limited time offer for AED 999 in UAE with Amazon and Lulu Hypermarket.

So, what’s New?

The Nothing Phone (2a) ditches Snapdragon chips for a custom-tuned MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro. This means snappier performance, more efficient power use, and cool software features like “Smart Clean” for better storage speed and “RAM Booster” for virtual memory expansion.

The display gets an upgrade too – now it’s a brighter 6.7-inch AMOLED beauty with a buttery smooth 120hz refresh rate. You also get a larger 5,000 mAh battery with speedy 45W wired charging and IP54 water resistance – a nice bonus for a budget device.

The iconic Glyph interface is back, but slightly streamlined for a cleaner look. Camera-wise, you get a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide, plus an upgraded 32MP front-facing shooter for awesome selfies. The Nothing Phone (2a) ships with Android 14 and a commitment to long-term software updates.

The Nothing Phone (2a) is shaping up to be a killer value proposition. Improved performance, a gorgeous display, decent cameras, and an out-of-the-box look for a sweet price? This phone is definitely one to watch.

Key Features of the Nothing Phone (2a)

  • Performance: The exclusive Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, co-engineered with MediaTek, offers exceptional power efficiency and speed.
  • Battery: A massive 5000mAh battery provides up to two days of use, with 45W fast charging for a 50% charge in just 20 minutes.
  • Camera: A dual 50MP rear camera system with TrueLens Engine captures lifelike images, plus an upgraded 32MP front camera for stunning selfies.
  • Display: A 6.7″ flexible AMOLED display with 1.07 billion colors, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
  • Design: Unique internal design concept features a camera ‘eye’ and emphasizes the Glyph Interface with a new light configuration.
  • Nothing OS: Arrives with Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14, promising three years of software updates and four years of security updates.
