Samsung Gulf Electronics has launched its newest foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7—alongside the Galaxy Watch8 Series in the UAE. The regional debut took place at BCH:CLB in Dubai, where Samsung staged a lifestyle-themed event showcasing how its devices integrate across business, health, travel, and fashion.
The Fold7 and Flip7 represent the company’s latest refinements in foldable smartphone design, emphasizing reduced weight, slimmer profiles, and more responsive AI integration. As foldables edge toward mainstream adoption, these devices focus on usability over novelty, with Samsung continuing to embed Galaxy AI across its ecosystem to support smarter, context-aware experiences.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung’s most compact Ultra-grade foldable to date. The device offers a more immersive large-screen experience optimized for multitasking, productivity, and creative tasks. New AI-powered features such as Camera and Screen Sharing with Gemini Live allow users to interact with Google’s AI by simply sharing on-screen content. A 200MP main sensor enables high-resolution image capture with support for tools like Generative Edit, which now proactively suggests edits by detecting and isolating background elements like passersby—removing manual steps from the process.
The Galaxy Z Flip7, meanwhile, delivers much of the same intelligence in a smaller footprint. Designed for portability and hands-free use, the Flip7 includes a full FlexWindow interface and new features like Now Bar, offering quick access to widgets and contextual updates. Gemini Live integration returns here as well, allowing users to ask for outfit suggestions or travel advice while previewing the environment through the Flex Mode camera. Notably, Samsung is leaning into lifestyle content creation with features like Portrait Studio for Pets, turning pet photos into stylized portraits with a single tap.
Both models continue to push Samsung’s foldables closer to a more mainstream user base, with the Flip7 FE model positioned as an entry point to foldable hardware. These devices also reflect a stronger emphasis on AI-first design principles rather than hardware gimmicks.
Samsung’s wearables lineup is also expanding with the Galaxy Watch8 Series, which includes the Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and the ruggedized Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. The new watches feature updated sensors, improved comfort via a reworked Dynamic Lug system, and support for AI-driven health insights. One standout addition is the Antioxidant Index, offering users a quick measurement of carotenoid levels—a first for any smartwatch—aimed at encouraging healthier lifestyle decisions. The BioActive Sensor also delivers improved accuracy for continuous tracking of sleep, stress, and fitness metrics.
To support the launch, Samsung opened Galaxy Experience Spaces in cities including Dubai, New York, Paris, and Seoul. These pop-ups provide hands-on demos and host live workshops to help consumers explore the devices’ real-world utility, particularly in photography, travel, and health scenarios.
In the UAE, availability for all new Galaxy Z and Watch8 Series models begins July 25, across major retailers, Samsung.com, and the Samsung Shop app.
