Hulu officially joins Disney+ worldwide, replacing Star across markets

Disney+ has officially integrated Hulu as its global general entertainment brand, replacing the Star tile across international markets from October 8, 2025. The change unifies Disney’s entertainment ecosystem under a more recognizable global identity while keeping the platform’s core offerings intact.

With the update, the Disney+ homepage now features six distinct brand tiles: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Hulu. The rebranding does not affect users’ existing libraries—popular series such as Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family, High Potential, and Paradise will remain available under the new Hulu section.

The integration also expands Disney+’s international slate with upcoming Hulu originals and returning hits, including All’s Fair, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3, and The Kardashians Season 7. Award-winning series from FX, such as The Bear, Shogun, and Only Murders in the Building, will also now sit within the Hulu category, reinforcing Disney+’s position as a comprehensive hub for prestige TV, family programming, and documentary content.

For viewers, the move means broader entertainment choice in one platform without additional apps or subscriptions. Disney+ continues to house its major franchises alongside general entertainment, news, documentaries, and live sports—an offering that strengthens its appeal as an all-in-one streaming destination.

To ensure a family-safe viewing experience, Disney+ maintains its robust parental controls. Users can restrict access to mature content, set PIN-protected profiles, and enable Junior Mode for younger audiences, providing flexibility for multi-user households.

The rollout marks a significant step in Disney’s strategy to streamline its global streaming identity, bringing Hulu’s established U.S. brand recognition to international audiences while maintaining consistency in content access and user experience.
