Apple TV+ is extending its fall lineup into October with a slate that leans heavily on new originals, spanning drama, crime thrillers, documentaries, and family programming. Following a September anchored by returning hits, this month’s releases introduce fresh stories while keeping long-running series in rotation.

The month opens on October 3 with The Lost Bus, a drama directed by Paul Greengrass and inspired by real events, where Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera portray a bus driver and teacher fighting to save children during a devastating wildfire. That same day brings The Sisters Grimm, a family-oriented series about two orphans navigating a town filled with characters pulled from fairy tales, blending fantasy with lessons for younger audiences.

October 10 marks the debut of The Last Frontier, a crime thriller set in Alaska starring Jason Clarke as a U.S. marshal facing chaos after a prison transport crash unleashes dozens of violent inmates. The series explores survival and conspiracy against a stark wilderness backdrop.

Comedy returns October 15 with Loot season three, continuing Maya Rudolph’s journey as billionaire-turned-philanthropist Molly Wells. The season picks up after a dramatic season two finale, exploring her uneasy relationships and evolving role at the Wells Foundation.

On October 17, Mr. Scorsese arrives as a documentary portrait of Martin Scorsese’s life and career, drawing from his personal archives and conversations with collaborators ranging from Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio to Steven Spielberg and Margot Robbie. Directed by Rebecca Miller, it aims to connect Scorsese’s personal history with his artistic legacy.

Documentary film Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost premieres October 24, with Ben Stiller reflecting on the careers of his parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, while examining the interplay of family and art across generations.

Closing out the month on October 29, Down Cemetery Road stars Ruth Wilson and Emma Thompson in a drama that begins with a suburban house explosion and a missing girl, unraveling into a conspiracy involving the blurred line between the living and the dead.

Alongside these debuts, October brings continuing episodes of ongoing shows. Invasion runs through October 24, Slow Horses through October 29, The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy through October 31, The Savant with Jessica Chastain until November 7, and The Morning Show through November 19.

With new dramas, high-profile documentaries, and family programming, Apple TV+ is shaping October into one of its busiest months yet, balancing original debuts with returning fan favorites.
