Hyundai has officially unveiled the all-new PALISADE in the Middle East and Africa, positioning its flagship three-row SUV as a blend of bold design, hybrid power, and premium features tailored for family and adventure use. The new model is now available at Hyundai showrooms across the region.
Design and Aerodynamics
The updated PALISADE features a more upright stance with a wider, stronger profile. A large grille with active airflow shutters dominates the front, flanked by vertical LED daytime running lights and a horizontal positioning light that emphasizes width. At the rear, vertical taillights mirror the front’s design for a cohesive look. Despite its larger dimensions and extended wheelbase, Hyundai says the SUV achieves a drag coefficient of 0.31 Cd, among the lowest in its class.
Powertrains
Two new powertrains are on offer. The standard option is a 3.5-liter V6 direct-injected engine delivering 277 hp and 252 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission in either two-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations. More significantly, Hyundai has introduced a 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid system combining a petrol engine and dual electric motors, producing 329 hp and targeting an estimated driving range of up to 1,107 km. The PALISADE’s HTRAC AWD system includes dedicated terrain modes for Mud, Sand, and Snow.

Safety and Driver Assistance
The SUV incorporates Hyundai’s SmartSense suite of safety features and a reinforced structure using Advanced High-Strength Steel. Standard equipment includes 10 airbags, extending to the third row. Hyundai is also debuting an integrated dual-camera dash cam for continuous and parking mode recording. Driver-assistance systems cover collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the longer wheelbase provides space for up to eight passengers. Highlights include a 12.3-inch curved digital cluster and navigation screen, premium finishes, and Relaxation seats for the first and second rows with extended recline and leg support. Second-row seating adds ventilation and power adjustment, while the third row gains power-folding and sliding functions. Connectivity includes USB-C ports in every row, a wireless charging pad with cooling, and a Bose 14-speaker system.

Hyundai has also integrated features such as a UV-C sterilization compartment in the center console, Digital Key 2.0for smartphone/smartwatch access, over-the-air software updates, and a fingerprint authentication system for starting the vehicle or managing user profiles. Stay Mode, similar to EV “Utility Mode,” allows occupants to use climate control and infotainment while parked without running the engine, powered by the hybrid’s high-voltage battery.
Calligraphy Trim
At the top of the range, the Calligraphy trim emphasizes luxury with premium leather, distinctive 21-inch alloy wheels, exclusive interior color schemes, and enhanced relaxation seating for both rows. It is pitched at customers seeking a more upscale alternative in the full-size SUV segment.
Connectivity
The PALISADE comes with Bluelink connected car services, giving owners remote access to functions such as climate control, locking and unlocking, vehicle location, and maintenance alerts via a smartphone app. Automatic crash notification and emergency assistance are also included.
