Ford expands Everest lineup in the Middle East with V6 engine and Tremor debut

Ford used the Liwa International Festival as the regional stage to introduce the 2026 Ford Everest, placing a clear emphasis on powertrain expansion and off-road capability rather than broad lifestyle messaging. Central to the announcement was a Middle East-exclusive 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, alongside the regional debut of the Everest Tremor, a variant positioned for buyers who regularly venture beyond paved roads.

The updated Ford Everest lineup reflects how midsize SUVs have evolved in the Middle East, where vehicles are expected to handle daily commuting, long highway distances, and sustained off-road use in extreme heat. The new 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine produces 355 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. While Ford describes the engine as developed with regional driving conditions in mind, its real significance lies in giving Everest buyers access to a higher-output option that sits above traditional four-cylinder offerings, particularly for towing, sand driving, and fully loaded travel.

With the introduction of the V6, the 2026 Everest range now spans Active, Sport, Platinum, and the newly added Tremor grades. This broader spread allows Ford to target both family-oriented buyers looking for comfort and drivers who prioritize durability and mechanical capability. The V6 option brings the Everest closer to larger body-on-frame SUVs in terms of usable power, without moving it out of the midsize category that appeals to urban and suburban customers.

The Everest Tremor made its first Middle East appearance at Liwa, aligning with the festival’s off-road focus. The Tremor variant adds hardware intended for regular trail and dune use, including 17-inch all-terrain tires and Bilstein suspension. Rather than introducing cosmetic changes alone, Ford positions Tremor as a functional upgrade, consistent with similar trims already offered on models such as the F-150 and Expedition. For families who want one vehicle for school runs during the week and desert driving on weekends, the Tremor specification is designed to bridge that gap.

Beyond product updates, Ford also unveiled its “Ready. Set. Ford.” brand identity for the region. While branding shifts are common, the company framed this change as a reflection of its long-standing presence in the Middle East and a renewed focus on aligning performance features with everyday use rather than abstract promises. Ford has operated in the region for more than four decades, and its Liwa appearance reinforced the importance of engineering vehicles that can cope with local terrain, climate, and driving habits.

The 2026 Ford Everest, particularly with the new V6 engine and Tremor variant, signals a measured expansion of Ford’s SUV strategy in the Middle East, aimed at customers who expect tangible capability alongside comfort and modern technology. Final horsepower and torque figures remain subject to GSO certification.
