Anker’s new MagGo power bank has a fan, and it matters

Wireless power banks have always asked for patience. Snapping one onto the back of your phone is convenient, but the trade-off has been sluggish charging and a device that gets uncomfortably warm in your pocket. Anker’s MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro, arriving in the UAE on October 7 for AED 349, is built around fixing both problems at once, and the company is confident enough to call it the fastest and coolest wireless power bank in the world.

The speed comes from Qi2.2 support, which pushes magnetic wireless charging up to 25W. By Anker’s own testing, an iPhone 17 Pro reaches roughly 25 percent in ten minutes and 50 percent in about 25 minutes, which the company says puts it close to a 20W wired charger. That is a meaningful gap over the 15W ceiling that defined the first wave of Qi2 accessories, though independent testing will need to confirm how consistently those numbers hold up.

Heat is the more interesting part of the story. Faster wireless charging produces more of it, and phones respond by throttling the power they accept, which quietly erases any speed advantage. Anker’s answer is an active cooling system it calls SnapCool, combining a fan-driven setup, two air channels and a graphene heat-spreading structure. The company says the back of the power bank stayed below 36°C during its tests, and the product carries an A+ rating under SGS’s Premium Performance Mark. For anyone charging a phone outdoors in a Gulf summer, thermal management is less a spec-sheet bonus and more the deciding factor.

Beyond that, the 10,000mAh unit adds a small display showing charge status, battery level, battery health and temperature without needing an app. A built-in stand adjusts from 0 to 80 degrees and is rated for 5,000 folding cycles, and wireless output can be switched off entirely so it works as a plain phone stand. Refilling the bank itself runs at up to 45W over USB-C, with Anker quoting 0 to 80 percent in around 52 minutes.

The power bank made its debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin, where it picked up several best-of-show mentions. It comes in Phantom Gray, Starlight Silver, Polar Night Blue and Burgundy Red.

Anker is also launching the Nano Smart Display Charger at AED 119, a compact 45W wall charger with foldable prongs, its own live readout, device-brand recognition, a TÜV-certified overnight Care Mode and over-the-air updates. Pairing the two makes obvious sense. The bigger question is whether active cooling becomes standard across premium power banks, or remains a feature only Anker is willing to engineer and price in.
