Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max officially go on sale in the UAE today, September 18, bringing the company’s latest flagship hardware to stores after pre-orders opened earlier this month. For anyone planning a launch-day purchase, however, finding the exact model they want could be the first challenge.
UAE pricing starts at Dh5,099 for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro, rising to Dh9,349 for the new 2TB configuration. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at Dh5,499 for 256GB and reaches a substantial Dh10,599 with 2TB of storage. Apple is offering four colours: Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black, with Burgundy reportedly seeing particularly strong pre-order demand.
Apple Store customers who reserved devices for collection should receive designated pickup details, while walk-in availability will depend on remaining stock. Other UAE retailers and telecom operators are also selling the devices, with instalment plans offering an alternative to swallowing the increasingly hefty flagship price in one payment.
The hardware upgrades are more interesting than the colours. Both Pro models use Apple’s A20 Pro processor, accompanied by a redesigned vapor-chamber cooling system intended to manage heat during demanding workloads such as gaming, video processing and on-device AI.
Photography gets a potentially more meaningful change. The 48MP Fusion Main camera now features variable aperture, switching between ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0. That gives the camera greater control over light intake and depth of field rather than relying entirely on computational photography to shape the final image.
Battery life has also moved forward, at least according to Apple’s figures. The iPhone 18 Pro is rated for up to 36 hours of video playback, while the Pro Max stretches that claim to 45 hours. Compatible charging hardware can reportedly take either device to 50 percent in roughly 15 minutes. Apple has also reduced the size of the Dynamic Island, although its basic functionality remains familiar.
For UAE buyers ready to upgrade, there is plenty to like here. Longer battery life, faster charging, improved cooling and a more flexible camera give the iPhone 18 Pro lineup meaningful improvements where they matter most. The prices remain firmly in premium territory, but Apple’s latest Pros look less about reinventing the iPhone and more about making an already polished flagship noticeably better — and for anyone joining the launch-day rush, that may be exactly enough.
