Rockstar Games is finally ready to show Grand Theft Auto 6 properly, with a 27-minute Extended Look set to provide the most substantial official glimpse yet at how GTA 6 actually plays. The presentation will use footage captured entirely on PlayStation 5, giving console players an important early indication of what Rockstar is targeting on current-generation hardware.
For viewers in the UAE, the GTA 6 Extended Look will premiere on Netflix at 10:00 PM UAE time (GST) on Thursday, August 27. The presentation will then become more widely available, including on YouTube six hours later at 4:00 AM UAE time on Friday, August 28.
That unusual release strategy makes this more than another trailer drop, positioning the presentation closer to a streaming event for what is easily one of the most closely watched game launches in years.
More importantly, 27 minutes is a significant amount of time for Rockstar to work with. GTA 6 has already received cinematic trailers and plenty of attention surrounding its characters, setting and interpretation of modern-day Florida, but extended official gameplay has remained the missing piece. With the game currently scheduled for November 19, 2026, Rockstar is entering the period where players will expect clearer answers about missions, open-world systems and what has meaningfully changed since Grand Theft Auto 5.
The choice of PlayStation 5 footage is also notable, although hardly unexpected.
