Monopoly Go adds Looney Tunes to its farm season

Scopely has added the Looney Tunes roster to Monopoly Go, folding Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and the rest of the Warner Bros. characters into the game’s current farm-themed season starting July 29. The licensed crossover runs through September 23 and slots the familiar cartoon personalities into events, collectibles and challenges that lean on the franchise’s slapstick tone.

Two new modes sit at the center of the season. Infinite Harvest keeps crops growing in the background as players roll the dice; the longer the plants stay in the ground, the larger the eventual payout, with occasional appearances by Bugs, Tweety or the Coyote. Porky’s Cafe asks players to gather Ingredient Stickers and fulfill recipe requests from the Looney Tunes cast, trading duplicates to finish orders and unlock cosmetic items. The same characters also surface in the game’s existing Partner builds, Racer competitions and cooperative Adventures, each given a light thematic coat of classic chase-sequence or rivalry framing. A limited Deluxe Drop and two new nine-sticker albums supply additional tokens, dice, shields and emojis, while a free Daffy-themed shield is available immediately.

Voice actor Eric Bauza, who currently performs Bugs, Daffy and Tweety, appears in promotional trailers. In comments released with the update he noted the shared sense of exaggerated personalities and timed mishaps between the cartoons and the mobile title. Scopely’s president of games, Victor Diaz-Roig, framed the partnership as an opportunity to invert something familiar—an approach that has become standard for live-service mobile games seeking fresh engagement without overhauling core loops.

Monopoly Go itself, built by Scopely under license from Hasbro, has passed 300 million downloads and collected more than ninety industry awards since launch. Players have collectively passed Go hundreds of billions of times and completed billions of boards. The company, founded in 2011, also operates Pokémon Go, Stumble Guys and several other licensed titles and reports lifetime revenue above $15 billion. The game remains free to download on iOS and Android, with progression still heavily gated by dice and sticker systems that encourage regular log-ins and social trading.

Crossovers of this kind have become routine in the free-to-play mobile space. Bringing established cartoon icons into a board-game adaptation follows the same logic that has seen other classic properties drop into match-three, racing or city-builder titles: lower the barrier for new players while giving existing ones a temporary reason to keep rolling. Whether the farm-and-sticker framing sustains interest across an eight-week window will depend less on the nostalgia of the Looney Tunes brand and more on how the new modes interact with Monopoly Go’s already dense event calendar.
