Anker has introduced its Prime series of charging products to the GCC markets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The lineup centers on two devices: a 26,000mAh power bank rated at 300W that can charge two laptops at full speed from a single portable unit, and a 160W three-port GaN wall charger with a built-in smart display. Both carry the design awards the broader Prime range collected this cycle, including a CES 2026 Innovation Award for the charger and Red Dot and iF recognition for the series as a whole.

What sets the hardware apart is the full-color smart display fitted to every Prime product. Instead of relying on a simple LED, the screen shows live wattage per port, estimated time remaining, charge speed and basic battery health data. It rotates automatically and links to a companion app. The approach turns charging from a background process into something users can monitor directly. Whether that level of feedback meaningfully improves daily use or simply adds another data stream remains a practical question for heavy travelers and multi-device users.

Under the surface sits Anker’s continued work with gallium nitride technology. The company was among the first consumer brands to bring GaN adapters to market in 2018, and the current generation uses its GaNPrime architecture in the power bank and GaNPrime 2.0 in the wall charger. The later version claims system efficiency up to 95 percent, roughly 20 percent lower energy loss than the industry average, developed with semiconductor partners Infineon and Navitas. Higher efficiency usually means less heat and more compact designs, advantages that matter in the Gulf’s high ambient temperatures and long outdoor workdays.

Anker has held the top global ranking for mobile charging brands according to Euromonitor data from 2020 through 2025. It holds more than 3,000 granted patents and directs over 9.5 percent of annual revenue into research. Those figures explain the technical continuity, yet the charging category has grown crowded. Many rivals now offer high-wattage GaN chargers and large-capacity power banks. Adding a display and refined thermal management is one way to stand out, but sustained advantage still depends on real-world reliability under sustained load rather than marketing claims about intelligence or visibility.

The regional launch targets the practical demands of the market: heat, frequent travel between indoor and outdoor environments, and simultaneous charging of phones, cameras, drones and laptops. Availability begins in the UAE, KSA and Qatar. In a sector where speed and size once defined competition, the emphasis on transparent data and incremental efficiency gains reflects how established players are trying to keep differentiation alive as the technology itself becomes more standardized.
