The INZONE H9 is one of the new new gaming headsets released by Sony, the people behind the legendary WH-1000XM5. The INZONE H9 is the most advanced in its series and offers active noise cancellation, ambient sound modes, and impressive spatial audio features.

Out of the box Sony’s latest gaming headset INZONE H9 feels extremely premium, the headphones comes with a built in mic, Bluetooth dongle, USB-C charger & some cool INZONE / Sony stickers.
Design
The H9 is very comfortable, at at an overall weight of 330g, the earpads pressure squeeze just the right amount on the head, and can easily be used for hours without discomfort. The headband is perfectly designed to keep the headset secure and in place.

The left earpad holds the mic that automatically goes on mute when you move it up! Additionally, there is an ANC button, a volume wheel and a USB-C port for charging the headset. The right earpad houses the power button, a Bluetooth button and a game / chat rocker.

Hardware and Features
There’s dual connectivity of SBC and AAC, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle, meaning you can expect lag-free audio on PC. Of course, INZONE H9 supports PlayStation 4, 5 and Nintendo Switch. It also has Bluetooth for connecting to a smartphone and using on the go as headphones.
Using the INZONE H9 with a Windows PC, you can customize settings and enable spatial audio with the INZONE Hub software. If you want to use the INZONE H9 with the PlayStation 5, it will connect seamlessly to the console, which provides its own surprisingly effective 3D audio processing.

Sound & Battery
The INZONE H9 uses 40mm drivers to deliver its premium sound quality. Playing games like PUBG on PC, the INZONE H9 manages the balance of background music and in-game sound effects very well. ANC did a good job at blocking noice out and was pretty much impressive. It’s super easy to shift between the ANC modes as well, moving to ambient is seamless and opens up just the right amount of noise in allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings.

While the H9 is more of a gaming headset, you can still use them to listen to music, the H9 offered clean and clear sounds all-around. The bass was not overpowering, which is somehow understandable given the headset is designed for gaming.
Sony advertises 32 hours of battery life with ANC turned off for the INZONE H9, which is easily achievable, however, it all depends on how you use the headset, obviously they won’t last as long if you listen at louder volumes, turn on ANC, etc…
Verdict
Overall, the Sony INZONE H9 offers a great gaming experience, even over long sessions. It’s comfortable, and the leather earpads don’t make heat build-up an issue. The headset is easy to connect to PC and PlayStation 5 with the USB dongle—it’s basically a plug-and-play.
