A long time ago, on a map not so far away… Fortnite said, “Screw subtlety, let’s go full Death Star.”
Epic Games and Disney just turned Fortnite into the galaxy’s most chaotic cantina with Chapter 6, Season 3: Galactic Battle. It’s not just another cash-grab crossover with a few skins and a wink to the Force. Nope. This is a full-on transformation, like Anakin-to-Vader-level.
We’re talking Force powers, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter dogfights, lightsaber duels, and a Battle Pass loaded with galactic legends like Emperor Palpatine and General freaking Grievous. If Fortnite OG was your nostalgia trip, this is your hyperspace detour into absolute Star Wars madness.
Let’s fire up the hyperdrive and dive into everything new in Fortnite Galactic Battle.
How We Got Here: Fortnite x Star Wars Is Now a Cinematic Universe
Fortnite’s no stranger to Star Wars love. We’ve danced as Stormtroopers, vibed to Ahsoka, and awkwardly third-partied Darth Vader. But Galactic Battle is on another level. This isn’t just Star Wars-themed — this is Star Wars, shoved into Fortnite’s DNA like midichlorians in a blood test.

Following a steady stream of crossovers, Epic has now built a live-service Star Wars RPG lite inside its battle royale. And while Disney Plus churns out more galactic content than a Tatooine moisture farm, Fortnite might just be the most fun Star Wars content drop in years.
Why? Because I threw a lightsaber at a bounty hunter, then Force Pulled him off a ledge while piloting a TIE Fighter… and lived to tell the tale.
Let’s go planet by planet — er, POI by POI.
New Fortnite Star Wars POIs: From Vader’s Solitude to the First Order Base
Each new Point of Interest is dripping with lore, traps, loot, and potential for absolutely unhinged lightsaber duels.
First Order Base
It’s a fortress on a mountaintop, ominous AF, and full of stormtroopers who have apparently never passed aim training. The utility shaft is your best bet for stealth, but good luck when Captain Phasma shows up.
Outpost Enclave
Think Mos Eisley bar energy — smugglers, chaos, and a sandcrawler that’s just begging to be explored. You’ll either make allies here or get betrayed faster than Lando in Cloud City.
Resistance Base
Hidden like Yoda on Dagobah, this jungle-shrouded Resistance hideout is stocked with X-Wings and equipment to sabotage the First Order. Also: solid loot and surprisingly serene vibes. Bring your squad.
Vader’s Samurai Solitude
Yes, it’s as cool as it sounds. Vader’s got samurai stormtroopers now, and it’s giving big Ghost of Tsushima meets Mustafar energy. If you beat him, you get a red lightsaber and the Force Saber Throw. Do it.
Lightsabers Return – But This Time, the Force Is Actually With Yo
Lightsabers have been in Fortnite before, but never like this. Now, they’re not just melee weapons — they unlock actual Force abilities.

You want lightning from your fingers? Train with Emperor Palpatine and you’ll be cackling like Ian McDiarmid in no time. Prefer Jedi vibes? Hologram Rey’s got you with Force Push and a blue saber.
Force Powers Overview:
- Force Push – Rey’s gift to yeet enemies off cliffs.
- Force Lightning – Palpatine says “zap zap.”
- Force Pull – Mace Windu returns May 8 to bring everything closer. Because why run?
- Force Throw – Darth Maul teaches you how to toss furniture and foes like you’re hosting a dark side garage sale.
- Force Saber Throw – Only from beating Vader Samurai. Totally worth the boss fight rage.
These powers are tied to you, not the saber. Looting one won’t give you powers unless you earned them through training. Which honestly? Brilliant move, Epic. Encourages duels instead of third-party looting.

Star Wars Weapons Replacing Traditional Fortnite Guns
Say goodbye to shotguns and ARs — at least for now. Galactic Battle says it’s blasters only, baby.
Blasters Include:
- DL-44 Pistol – Han’s signature. Packs a punch.
- CR-2 Blaster – SMG vibes, great for close quarters.
- DLT-19 & A280-CFE Rifles – Medium-to-long range laser love.
- DC-15, E-11, F-11 – Classic, unvaulted standards of the Republic, Empire, and First Order.
- Thermal Imploder – Basically a mini black hole grenade. Throw it, run, and enjoy the fireworks.
Captain Phasma also drops a Mythic F-11D Blaster and a Blaster Medallion that boosts overheating tolerance. But wearing it makes you visible on the minimap. Risk vs reward, you know the drill.

Vehicles & Dogfights: Pilot Your X-Wing or TIE Like It’s Rogue Squadron
Vehicle combat is back in a big way. Hop into an X-Wing for quick escapes or rain fire from a TIE Fighter like you’re Vader on Hoth.
Flight controls are tight, aerial fights are surprisingly smooth, and if you’ve ever dreamed of dogfighting above Tilted Towers, this is the moment.

Weekly Content Drops: A Whole Galaxy of Updates Incoming
Forget filler content. Every Thursday brings a new wave of iconic characters and gear:

Mark your calendar. This is your Endgame moment.
Star Wars Battle Pass – The Premium Holocron of Dreams
This season’s Battle Pass is galactic fan service. For 1,000 V-Bucks or via Fortnite Crew, you get:
- Emperor Palpatine – Because “unlimited power” never goes out of style.
- Apprentice Evie – Force-sensitive original character. Cool cloak.
- Poe Dameron – “Best pilot in the Resistance” energy.
- Wookiee Team Leader – Fluffy destruction.
- General Grievous – Dropping later in May via challenges. Spinny lightsaber menace, activate.
Bonus: You get the OG Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO® Pass if you’re on Fortnite Crew. That’s a full trilogy’s worth of cosmetics.
And Yes… There Are Crocs. Star Wars Crocs.
Somewhere in a Lucasfilm boardroom, someone greenlit Star Wars x Crocs. They’re here. They exist. They might even give you a fashion buff (okay, not really, but still).
Also available: A Porsche 911 GT3 RS bundle with Sith decals for Vader, Maul, and Phasma. Drive like a villain. Crash like one too.

Final Verdict: 5/5 Lightsabers — This Is the Season You’re Looking For
If Fortnite OG brought you back, Galactic Battle is going to keep you. This is the most ambitious and lovingly crafted Star Wars integration we’ve ever seen in a live service game — full stop. Every week offers something new, and the feeling of Force-dashing through blaster fire to lightsaber a sweaty trio? Chef’s kiss.

- Jedi vs. Sith combat with lightsabers + Force powers.
- New Star Wars POIs with epic boss fights and loot.
- Blasters-only gunplay and aerial X-Wing vs. TIE battles.
- Weekly updates adding iconic heroes, weapons, and missions.
